Flood alert for coastal areas between Selsey and Elmer

A flood alert has been issued for coastal areas between Selsey and Elmer on Monday (October 26), including Sidlesham, Pagham and Bognor Regis.

The Environment Agency has stated that flooding is possible for two hours either side of Monday’s first high tide at 11am.

Large waves and strong winds are expected to generate lots of spray, impacting beach top properties and nearby roads in Selsey, Elmer, Sidlesham, Pagham and Bognor Regis between 9am and 1pm.

Monday’s second high tide at 11.15pm is forecast to be 34cm lower than the first and is unlikely to cause impacts.
