Thousands raised for Conquest25 MRI Scanner Appeal
Close to £4,000 was raised by golfers playing at the fundraiser in Sedlescombe last Friday. Sixteen teams enjoyed a themed Texas Scramble on a glorious sunny day. James Andrew and his team at Sedlescombe Golf Club organised the event with a Mexican theme including a Heuvos Rancheros breakfast and a Mexican BBQ to Texmex music performed by Stone Junction.
All the prizes and auction lots were donated or sponsored by local businesses P&S Electrical, Blackbrooks, Fusion, Fast print, Clive Vale Nursery, Gaby Hardwicke, Nortrade, Empress Coaches, Buckswood, Tesco Extra and Morrisons.

Hide AdA further £5,000 was raised for the appeal at this year’s Summer Fete in Markwick Gardens on Saturday.
It was a spectacular day organised by Nadine, Jayne and Deidre along with the committee of the Friends of Conquest Hospital.
The crowds were treated to entertainment throughout the afternoon provided by 1066 Rockitmen guitarist and son Charlie, Family affair, Conquest Hospital Choir, Acromax, Tornado Twirls and Miss kimmy’s School of Dancing in an arena surrounded by a wide range of craft stalls and refreshments.
Lesley Apthorp, Consultant Radiologist, officially opened the fete on behalf of the Conquest Hospital and thanked everyone for coming, Markwick Gardens for their beautiful facilities and all those that had given up their time freely to make the day such a success.
