Hastings marks 35 years of being twinned with Belgian town Oudenaarde
A group from Hastings, including Cllr Phil Scott, went to Oudenaarde, Belgium, for the Bank Holiday to celebrate 35 years of twinning between the two towns.
Cllr Phil Scott signed a special Charter on behalf of Hastings town.
Hastings Sea Cadets were very proud to represent Hastings in the VE parade. They had not been back since Covid and Oudenaarde City were delighted to welcome them back.
In March, representatives from Oudenaarde came to Hastings to take part in the Half Marathon.
Margaret O'Connor, Secretary Hastings/Oudenaarde Twinning Association, said: “Oudenaarde City council and the Oudenaarde/Hastings Twinning Committee organised a full programme which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.”
