Man cycles from Scotland to East Sussex for charity
A man and a woman from East Sussex have decided to cycle from Scotland to Seaford to raise money for a local charity.
Joseph Norris, 45, and Katie Chapman, 41, have taken on the challenge to cycle from John o' Groats in Scotland to Seaford, East Sussex to raise money for Seahaven Storehouse.

Katie said: “Joe and I decided we could do something we love whilst raising money for a really good local charity Seahaven Storehouse that unfortunately given the current climate is in more demand than ever before.”
Seahaven Storehouse is an independent Christian foodbank, which helps families in Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven with food parcels. On the charity’s website it says “Each year we need to raise between £40,000 - £50,000 to support over 100 households across the Seahaven Area.”

The cycling challenge a part of the Katie and Joseph’s long list of physical challenges they have participated in ; this year alone they have both completed the Brighton Marathon, five half marathons, a triathlon, London to Brighton bike ride and a 100km Sussex bike ride.
Joseph, who is the owner of Mendall Auto Services on Blatchington Road, Seaford, set off from John o' Groats today (September, 30) and hopes to make it back to motor shop in seven days. He will be cycling 960 miles (1540km).
Katie added: “Joe is incredibly determined, if he sets his mind to something he will complete it.
“But his latest challenge is going to be the toughest yet, he is single-handedly cycling from John o' Groats back to Seaford with no support team, a backpack a tent and google maps.”
Joseph and Katie have set up a fundraiser, where they have raised almost £1,500 out of their £2,000 goal.
