The Liberal Democrats have won the majority of seats on Chichester District Council today (Friday, May 5).

The party has made sweeping gains across the district ousting a number of Tories from historically Conservative seats.

Earlier today Adrian Moss told Sussex World that he and his colleagues were confident the Lib Dems would secure a majority and by 3.45pm today – with the election of Clare Apel and Sarah Quail for Chichester North – it was secured.
